let’s take a lesson on happiness from those who live their days in the simplest ways
this past week was crazy. friday evening was fun though. recap:
- occupy bikes - downtown critical mass bike ride in solidarity w/occupy wall st. katie made me a costume of uncle moneybags from monopoly. it sort of worked haha
- then we went to viva, and i got a basic burrito w/guac. yum
- then lauren and zach and i went back to my house to chill out for a little while and change. i didn’t have another costume but i just put on shorts and a t-shirt and wrapped my tie-dye scarf around me
- then the 3 of us went to castaways to see the makepeace brothers and sim redmond band. i’ve been listening to srb for the last few days now nonstop, and they were awesome. makepeace bros were so fun too. good dancing music. steph, jess, and rachel were there too. it was so much fun. i dunno what it is but i just get such a good vibe/happy feeling listening to srb’s music. they are fantastic. and have good lyrics too. the title of this post is from their song “pink guitar”
- after the show we went to the state diner. classic after-concert eating destination
- then we went home (zach crashed on my couch haha). we didn’t hit the hay till about 4am
yesterday we had an ices eboard brunch at my house. i made apple pancakes that weren’t that good. then i went to the library to work on an ecology lab report. that’s what i’ll be doing today too. boo. it’s so beautiful out, i want to go for a run or even take a walk maybe since a lot is on my mind.
