About

meh

I'm Margaret. I'm a granola-crunching, tree-hugging, dirt-worshipping vegan college student living in Ithaca, New York. My two loves are nature and photography, but I often find myself behaving promiscuously with biking, running, and just about any other outdoor adventure activity. I am full of wanderlust, and I am captivated by the western half of the North American continent.

wow. how long has it been since i wrote in here? ha. i feel like updating it now since i have a chronic fear of forgetting my entire life if i don’t write it down or photograph every moment of it. so (this is for my own sake):

fall break

- initial gray weather
- corey visiting devon from nyc; taste of thai, diamond’s w/them and zaneta
- greenstar w/dan and christina
- game night w/friends; no-bake cookies (“moose poop”)
- biking w/zak to roy park preserve; apples; cold
- cold saturday
- sunday sunny hiking in newfield/connecticut hill/finger lakes trail w/dan

other random notes that will probably be amusing to read later

- just listened to yellowcard’s acoustic version of their newest album; super
- i really want to learn more about plant id/uses, especially mushrooms and other wild edibles, and milkweed
- i also want to get more into rock climbing; just ordered shoes, hopefully they fit (actually they should get here today)
- i really want to go to the adks, and go backpacking, and out west, especially southwest
- i’m (still) over school
- i just bought a bike trainer off craigslist for $50; hopefully it wasn’t a bad impulse buy and it’ll actually be beneficial this winter. even though i hate the concept of treadmills and it’s basically the same thing but for a bike, hopefully it will allow the release of endorphins when i don’t really get much in the winter months. or maybe i’ll get more into climbing since that’s indoors anyway (for now)
- why am i awake?
